7 Super Valuable Internet Marketing Tips

internet marketing tips

In this post, I aim to share some of my best internet marketing tips. I’d also like to share a little bit of my hard-gained wisdom with you.

In the above image, you will see three affiliate sales from Warrior Plus, and an upgraded referral from LeadsLeap that I got through a fantastic viral funnel called Mega Marketing Pro. You will understand why these are important as you read more of this post.

I used to be a really successful affiliate marketer. I was in the top 5% at both JVZoo and Warrior Plus. I had a responsive list of almost 15,000 subscribers, 3600 of them verified buyers. I was bringing in anywhere from $5000 – $8000 per month profit. So what happened?

Well, for one thing, COVID happened. However, I’m not going to make COVID a scapegoat. It was my own fault. I’m a combat veteran and I have severe PTSD and depression, and when they rear their ugly heads it causes chaos in my life. That won’t happen if I’m doing what I’m supposed to do.

The problem with a lot of folks who are battling these demons is that once they start to feel better they think they don’t need to take their meds anymore. They think they no longer have to attend life-saving groups and therapy sessions. They think they can get by without their support network. They’re wrong.

That’s the road I went down. I got myself back on track, though, and I decided to venture once more into the Internet Marketing arena. It was slow going at first. Without a list, it’s very difficult to drive the kind of targeted traffic you need to convert leads and sales.

It’s been hard, but I refuse to give up. I have been putting my nose to the grindstone every single day and working hard to drive traffic and build a list. I’m happy to report that just 3 weeks after restarting my online journey, I am starting to see results. Albeit small, this is an indication that I’m moving in the right direction, and that my hard work is starting to pay off.

That said, if I could give you one piece of advice it would be this: NEVER GIVE UP! Stay the course and keep on chipping away. Every minute of work that you put in WILL pay off in the long run.

The experience I have gained since getting into online marketing in 2008 is most definitely a huge benefit. I’ll share a little bit of that experience with you. Here are seven internet marketing tips that I think will benefit you:

  • Find a solid business opportunity and stick with it. Don’t jump at every “shiny object” you see. It is much better to expend 100% of your time and energy promoting one system than to expend 20% of your time and energy promoting five different offers.
  • Build a list. All of the traffic you generate should be sent to a lead capture page or a “splash” page that links to a lead capture page. Don’t send traffic directly to sales pages. It’s a big waste of your time and traffic.
  • Network. I can’t stress this enough. Some of the best results I have ever achieved came from watching what other marketers were doing. If you see a marketer who is crushing it, reach out to them and ask for pointers. You might even inquire about a mentorship. Success can often come when you imitate what successful people are doing.
  • Watch out for scams. They are a dime a dozen on the internet, and some of them can appear to be very reputable. I go by the old adage “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.”
  • Think positive. Yes, I know this may sound corny, but the fact remains that positive things do indeed happen to positive thinkers!
  • Don’t place too much stock in what other people think of you. It’s important to be well-liked, but you shouldn’t alter your strategies just to please other people. Edgy marketing strategies can often be the most lucrative. Develop your own individual marketing style and always be true to yourself.
  • Always give before you ask to receive. Simply put, don’t ask people for anything until you give them something of value first. Whether it’s a report, a video, a slide presentation, etc, it’s important to provide value BEFORE you ask for an email address or a purchase.

Well, I think that sums it up for today. It can be very easy to get discouraged with this online marketing thing. If you give up you will never achieve your goals and thus, you’ll never make a better life for yourself. Remember that and you will get along just fine!

Remember, affiliate marketing is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing industries on the internet. That means it’s up to you to go out and slice your piece of the pie! Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I hope it resonated with you but more so, I hope my internet marketing tips will inspire you!

Tools I Use To Run My Internet Marketing Business

LeadsLeap – This is the core tool that I use to run my business. This is where I build all of my lead capture pages and funnels as well as collect leads and send broadcasts and follow-up emails to my list. It is absolutely invaluable to me and frankly, I’d be lost without it! You can sign up for a free account and enjoy almost all of the same tools that pro members get.

Traffic Zipper – I use a lot of safelists and viral mailers to build my list. It’s nearly impossible to try and remember them all. That’s where this amazing tool comes in. I can send out an email to 32 of the most popular safelists and viral mailers from a single dashboard. It also has an automatic mail feature so you can just “set it and forget it.”

Traffic Adbar – I know a lot of people think that traffic exchanges are a waste of time. There is some truth to this, but mostly it’s because people don’t know what kind of pages to use in conjunction with traffic exchanges. Traffic Adbar is a different type of traffic exchange and I find that most of the people who surf this exchange are interested in the type of pages that I promote.
